Met with Mary Jo and Gale and we cut the long strips that we are going to be using for the backing of the quilt. We then laid them out how we are going to sew the strips together making sure everything will fit in the correct position.

I worked for 5 hours sewing the 7 new blocks together, making the final large square. Sewed the big blocks together. We then talked about the backing design and how we were going to pick a design and use the different material in different ways to make an eye popping design.
I spent 2 hours cutting out material. I cut the 9 patches in half one direction, then had to cut them in half the other direction. After they were cut we pinned them into the 9 larger blocks, they are now ready to be sewn together.
On February 5th, I worked for 5 hours on making my quilt. In that time I pinned and sewed the 9 patches to make one of the final squares, I had previously already had 2 of these done, so today I made 7 more.
